So I finally got to see Zootopia as I mentioned in my previous post and I just had to do TweakFox up as a Zootopian since I was really inspired by my buddy Nik's version of her fox (Tynder) as a Zootopian. Too cool! So this was my warm up painting for today. Nothing super fancy, but it gets the point across I think. TweakFox doesn't have a natural fur colour version (yet) so I think she would probably stand out amongst all of those normal coloured animals, but heck, she loves to stand out so I guess it works haha! Anyway! We are 3 days away from the A to Z Challenge BLAST OFF so I am getting pretty excited about that! I'm also still working on that piece I gave a teaser on in my last post. I have no idea how long that one's going to take since I'm being pretty picky with it so far hehe... We'll see. Anyway! That's all she wrote for now!
Have a fabulous day! ♥ TweakFox

So I figured it was time to put together a little reference sheet for Tweak since she's looked the same for a little while now and I don't see her changing any time soon. I chose to do her slightly toon-ier than she typically looks, since that's how I draw her most often. I might have to do some other versions as well with her more realistic proportions and stuff like that. I might do a proper turnaround one of these days, but for now this will do the trick! Finally figuring out what the heck her side profile looks like makes me happy. Her hair is kind of like Mickey Mouse's ears... ♥ TweakFox
There comes a time in every fox's life where you need to be drawn by your person wearing a ridiculous amount of armour. Yes. I did this super fast during a doodle break and I love how she's all proud and her hair is blowing a bit in the wind haha! Man I love sketching in pen and despite my sketchbook being right next to my notebook I felt the need to draw on lines hehe...
♥ TweakFox Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope it's a good one for you! I myself never really do anything super crazy on St. Patrick's Day. I don't think I even wore green last year... I see you judging me through the screen you know... Stop it. Hehe! Anyway, this year I am at least prepared with a super fast little sketch of TweakFox kickin' it with a yummy Shamrock Shake! Cheers!
♥ TweakFox So with the big website update, I've decided to show the various looks that TweakFox has had over the years. There were a few people who have helped influence her design and it's thanks to the input of these people (you know who you are hehe) that she has come to the design she has now. TweakFox was created in 2002 in my grade 9 English class. I still have the very first sketch I ever did which I've included in this set (it's the far right, bottom pencil sketch). Some of the designs below have appeared multiple times in my sketchbooks before evolving into the next design (you can see the evolution from bottom right to top left). Some were one-offs that I did as an experiment before moving onto the next design. I was happy (actually I was really unhappy, but grew to appreciate hehe) when one of my instructors at Capilano University (when I was in the Digital Animation program) commented on how much he disliked the pink-purple I was always using for her main fur colour. I was annoyed at first, but now I see how much better she looks in comparison to her old self and I'm much happier with it. I remember giving my instructor a hard time about it, but I know now how important it is to listen and learn from others (those are two the words in my personal motto: Observe. Listen. Learn.). Next year will be my little fox's 15th birthday and I'm hoping to do a little something special. I haven't really decided what yet, but I'm sure it will be good hehe! ♥ TweakFox This Saturday I went to VancouFur with my best blue fox friend Tynder! I typically only do conventions as a one day thing so I definitely made the most of it and it was an absolute blast!! As a last minute little thing, I made myself a con badge since I've never had one before and I felt kinda uncool last year hehe... So with minutes to spare before I had to get ready to go, I threw together a little TweakFox badge for myself and I was so happily surprised at the number of people who complimented me on it and asked me where I got it and who made it! I've been feeling really bummed lately since I've been home for weeks now recovering from a car accident I was in and it made me feel really nice to have people give such sweet compliments. ♥ There were so many amazing creations there this year and there was even a wee little owl named Snoopy who got to hang out with us! The weather was AMAZING, we really lucked out because the day before it had been raining like crazy! Above are some pics from the day! The parade was definitely the highlight. I took so many pictures for Tynder it was pretty epic! I got some fun key chains, we went for lunch and got poutine which was SO GOOD. We ended the day off hanging out in the games room chatting with some of the other attendees. I'm really looking forward to going next year, but I definitely need to get myself my own purple tail to match my ears! Here's a pic I did a while back of Tynder and Tweak hanging it out playing games (likely Pokemon) on their trusty DS systems!
Cheers! ♥ TweakFox |
