Needed to take a quick brain break and did a speed paint of the first thing that popped into my head. It's not amazing, but it's something to post at the end of a very busy Thursday hehe... Also... Tomorrow is the first post for the A to Z Challenge!! I will of course have my intro post up first and then my "A" post at 10am on the nose! Everything is scheduled which is going to take a load of pressure off of me this year! YAY!!!! Catch you guys tomorrow!

So I finally got to see Zootopia as I mentioned in my previous post and I just had to do TweakFox up as a Zootopian since I was really inspired by my buddy Nik's version of her fox (Tynder) as a Zootopian. Too cool! So this was my warm up painting for today. Nothing super fancy, but it gets the point across I think. TweakFox doesn't have a natural fur colour version (yet) so I think she would probably stand out amongst all of those normal coloured animals, but heck, she loves to stand out so I guess it works haha! Anyway! We are 3 days away from the A to Z Challenge BLAST OFF so I am getting pretty excited about that! I'm also still working on that piece I gave a teaser on in my last post. I have no idea how long that one's going to take since I'm being pretty picky with it so far hehe... We'll see. Anyway! That's all she wrote for now!
Have a fabulous day! ♥ TweakFox Happy Easter everyone! I thought it would be fun to post a little work in progress, sneak peek at the latest painting I am working on. I finally got to see Zootopia, which was AMAZING, and am so in love with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde that I just had to do up a little something of the two of them. If you haven't seen this movie yet, drop what you are doing, grab everyone you know and go see it. I promise you it is SO WORTH IT. I am only a couple of hours into this one so far and I am excited to get to the finer details. It took me so long to get Judy's face to a point where I was happy with it. WOW, who know that wee bunny was so complicated haha! I am also really excited to do up TweakFox as a Zootopian character. My bestie did Tynder up and I totally got inspired!
Again, Happy Easter! ♥ TweakFox SO! I'm making a few improvements to my little site here, and have decided that my Gallery was too much of a pain in the ass to maintain so it's now closed. All of the art in there can still be found through my deviantART page so fret not! I have also taken down my old portfolio because man was it getting old... I have a new portfolio started, super excited to share, but I'm not sure when it will be done since I'm not actively looking for work (I love my job ♥♥♥). I guess I've just been bitten by the portfolio-bug since the new grads from CAP University will be having their Gradshow show next month and plus I like to keep my stuff current when I can. I finished my 26 posts for the A to Z Challenge. I am hoping to go through them all one more time though to make sure I really didn't miss any HUGE typos or anything (no guarantees hehe). Other than that, I have lots of stuff on the go in terms of art and things I am working on. So much that I can't wait to share! Anyway! That's all I have to share for now! ♥ TweakFox For a warm up sketch today I did my little wee purple fox as an MLP (My Little Pony) character. I've done this before, but I decided to do something a little different this time. I typically pic the Earth Pony variety for TweakFox, but this time I was like UNICORN PONY all the way. I didn't clean it up with shapes (pen tool) or anything, because it was supposed to be a warm up sketch. So jealous that so many of my friends get to work on this show. So much MLP love!
♥ TweakFox So this week really kicked my ass, but despite feeling like crap, I did manage to finish my lion doodle. Just wanted to do a little something for fun to relax and stretch a few artistic muscles hehe... I love doing super loose paintings like this where I'm not worried about details and just focussing more on how I feel while I'm working. I didn't actually reference the Lion King, but as it's one of my favourite movies of all time, it just happens to show up any time I draw lions... I swear it's a weird subconscious thing that happens. So I thought it would be fun to show you a really REALLY old piece of art from when I was in high school. Where are his ears? I've always wondered what the heck I was thinking... Hehe...
Anyway, I hope your week went/is going better than mine! I'm looking forward to having a mellow day on my couch tomorrow. ♥ TweakFox So I figured it was time to put together a little reference sheet for Tweak since she's looked the same for a little while now and I don't see her changing any time soon. I chose to do her slightly toon-ier than she typically looks, since that's how I draw her most often. I might have to do some other versions as well with her more realistic proportions and stuff like that. I might do a proper turnaround one of these days, but for now this will do the trick! Finally figuring out what the heck her side profile looks like makes me happy. Her hair is kind of like Mickey Mouse's ears... ♥ TweakFox
Did it super fast because I was behind on it and had a billion other things on the go, but here is my pic for March. Yes it's another mermaid, but you know me, I like mermaids haha! Did this over the span of a few days. Given the amount of time spent, I'm happy with it. In other news I've almost finished all of my posts for the A to Z Challenge! I have three more to go and then I can relax! I just wanted to be 100% sure I wouldn't run into any roadblocks so I wouldn't end up missing any days and getting the boot.
I'm super looking forward to April! ♥ TweakFox |
